Triton Liners rebuilt two (2) 190-gallon (ea.) diesel fuel tanks while the boat was on the hard. Another instance where the cause of tank failure was due to internal corrosion – unavoidably caused by the current fuel refining process. Preventive Maintenance (PM) cleaning is so important to keep tanks healthy. Now, that job is easy since Triton Liners’ scope of work includes the installation of custom manways on each tank to make PM cleaning possible. PM recommendations are to have tanks cleaned every 2 – 3 years.
